One week after New York was cleansed of the Sabbat by Justicar Atticus ( Clan Ventrue ), MacTavish Innes left New Orleans to assume the position of Prince of New York City.
MacTavish was born, raised and embraced in his homeland, Scotland by his mortal father. His first years as kindred saw him tour Europe with his sire to be tutored in the ways of Clan Ventrue. In the late 1700's MacTavish settled in London to help Clan Ventrue battle the Tremere for rulership of the city. With his help, the Ventrue, for the time being were able to stave off the Tremere. With the turn of the century, MacTavish once again was re-assigned by Clan Ventrue. His new mission was to help the Clan establish a foothold in the new world.
For many years he called New Orleans his home, holding both the titles of Seneshal and Primogen for fifty years. For the past 10 years he was Prince Marcel's right hand man. It was during this time that he knew he was being groomed for Princedom himself. In 1995, his chance to rule came to fruition.
New York City is like many other cities controlled by kindred, there is always more going on than meets the eye. Not truly impressed with his surrounding cast, MacTavish had to make due with what he was dealt. The kindred that was "allowed" entrance in to New York looked to be outcasts or expendable. This did not sit well with MacTavish. His first duty as Prince was to name officers of the city. These first few decisions decided MacTavish's rein. For the position of Sheriff, he named Tremere Primogen Gabrelle LaSartre. For Seneshal, Alexander Raistov -- Clan Ventrue. For Keeper of Elysuim, Maria de Adio - Clan Toreador.
