Experience Points

Experience points represent the improvement of character's skills and abilities that goes on over time as the character engages with the universe. Character receive experience points as a result of extended play in the game as well as from special in-game actions (such as Diablerie). Characters may use experience points at any time to increase Trait totals, buy new Abilities or Disciplines, remove negative Traits, etc. or may save them for larger, future purposes.

Our system for giving out experience points is easy. Everybody in the game gets the same amount of points. Every player will receive one point of experience for every Four game sessions they attend. This point is automatically gained at the end of the indicated session. If you have changed characters during the course of the game for some reason, your total number of experiences points may have to be calculated in a different manner. If this is the case, please ignore these rules and discuss your experience total with us personally.

Another experience point is given out to players every four sessions for handing in summaries on time. This is a free experience point based on interaction with the game.

To spend experience points, simply use the chart below to determine the cost of various improvements. When you wish to spend the points, simply inform the storytellers so that the changes to the character can be officially recorded.
