Loss of Love

To give love
then to take it back
is the worst hurt
that someone can do
It's been said that one year of love
is better than a lifetime alone
I disagree
To have known and lost love
is by far worse than never having it
To dream is wonderful
but when your dream is dead
it is devestating
Oh, how the heart hurts
it never truly heals
just part of it dies off
Never to be used again
Not even the joy of new love
ever resurrects it
True saddness is the loss of love
