Hockey Jersey Junkie
So I got a small itty bitty addiction. It's not like its bad or anything, just a bit different. I wasn't always a hockey fan, infact I've been following hockey for some 10 years now. Growing up, I
played football and baseball. Never played organized hockey. Now there were a few street
pickup games. In fact, we didn't have hockey jerseys. We used old football jerseys that were way to big. At that time I wore #9 and fashioned myself to be Glen Anderson of the Edmonton Oilers. The Oilers were the team back then. They knocked the hated Islanders from the championship spotlight to reel off four Stanley Cups themselves. My friends took on the guise of other Oilers. After playing, my interest in hockey died off for a few years while I went back to focusing on baseball. I think sometime around 1990 or so I got back into the sport and have claimed hockey to be my favorite. A few years back I started buying some jerseys. My actual
first jersey was given to me for my birthday when I was in 6th grade. It was a blue Rangers jersey - number 22, Nick Fotiu. While I don't have that one anymore, I have a bunch more. I've taken some pictures of my current collection with my digital camera. If your curious, take a peek at what I've got.
